About NOA

NOA is a Community Association based in North Oxford.  We are a registered charity with membership open to all. We are financed by modest membership subscriptions, reinforced by charitable donations and small grants from the local authorities.  We are managed by volunteers with an elected governing Council and Officers drawn from among the members - for more information, see Who's Who

How it all began

The inaugural meeting was held in 1966. What the community wanted most was a building where people could meet socially and for information, and a neighbourhood swimming pool.  The founder members at first had neither building nor swimming pool to offer, but they did have the determination to provide what was needed. NOA has been serving the community for over 50 years. Find out more at NOA's Story.

The NOA Office

The NOA office is staffed from 9.30 am - 17.00 pm Monday to Friday, and this is where your membership, room hire bookings, course bookings and the myriad other administrative duties are handled.  Many of the queries received at Reception are passed on to the Office.  To contact office staff, please ring 01865 552295.

Notice Boards

We have two large notice boards in our reception area, on which are posted a wide range of activities taking place around Oxford.  You can also pick up brochures or post your own notice (which should be no larger than A5).  Please ask at the desk.
