Community Projects

NOA is keen to work with community groups to provide the best opportunities for the local and wider community.

Please contact Manager@northoxfordassociation.org.uk if you have any projects or ideas you would like to discuss.

Current Projects include:

Messy Play

Messy and sensory play sessions at the Pavilion start on Friday mornings 10am-12 noon. For under 5s with parents and carers, these sessions are free and open to the local community. This is a joint project with Sunnymead Minnows (Cutteslowe Community Centre and Cutteslowe School) and NOA.

Annexe Mural

NOA is working with Cherwell students on a mural on the outer wall of the Annexe, facing the Diamond Road car park. Students are working on the mural during the after school art club (at Cherwell). When finished, the panels will be taken to NOA and fixed to the wall!  Huge thanks to the generosity of the Mid Counties Cooperative Community Support Donation and the Round Table to fund the materials for this project, and to the enthusiasm of Cherwell students and art teacher Jon MacKay.

ESOL Conversation

Informal conversation group for speakers of other languages. Mixed levels.  12.30-2pm. Contact Sarah (development.noa@gmail.com) for more information.

Partnership with Read Easy

We've partnered up with the Read Easy group.

Read easy is a charity who help provide free help for adult who either can’t read or are not confident with their reading. We offer free space for classes to the organisation so that people are able to have their lesions in private if they would prefer.

If you would like more infomation about Read Easy or would like to join their team of volunteers check out their website here

NOA gratefully acknowledges support from the Mid Counties Cooperative fund towards the mural painting.
